Torquil Duncan, MBA. P.Eng
Mr. Duncan is the President of Capital Management Engineering Limited. He is responsible for the quality, delivery and development of Strategic Asset Management services for Capital Management Engineering Limited. The services include facility assessments, capital planning and sustainable asset management plans. Other responsibilities include managing and directing general business operations. Mr. Duncan has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University.
George Polimac, P.Eng, CEA
Mr. Polimac has been with CMEL since its incorporation. He is a senior engineer having graduated from Dalhousie University in 1995. Prior to joining CMEL, George was the head estimator and director for over a decade working for ECCI, a midsized Canadian construction company. He has extensive experience in estimating, site and energy assessment, and capital planning.
Scott MacLeod, Dip. Eng
Scott MacLeod is a Senior Project Manager with CMEL with more than twelve years of relevant experience, including management of engineering contracts, facility assessments, capital planning and sustainable asset management plans. His responsibilities include project management, quality and delivery, including facility assessments, capital planning and sustainable asset management plans. Mr. MacLeod holds a Diploma in Engineering from Dalhousie University.
Gerard Wttewaall, AET
Mr. Wttewaall is an Architectural Engineering Technician with CMEL. He has a depth of experience including but not limited to providing quantity take-offs, estimating, on site facility assessment and drafting. His responsibilities include site assessments, energy assessments, report writing and creation of documents and supporting drawings. Other tasks include project management and IT support. Mr. Wttewaall has a Diploma in Architectural Engineering Technician from the Nova Scotia Community College.
Jim Knight, P.Eng
Jim Knight is a Senior Engineer with a great deal of environmental, energy and project management experience. Having obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1972, Mr. Knight has been working in the industry for over forty years. His area of focus is providing energy audits and assessments, having received formal RETScreen training in 2010.
Kyla Simpson, B.AS
Kyla Simpson is a Project Manager with CMEL. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience including but not limited to design, project management, and coordination and production of construction documents. Her responsibilities at CMEL include site assessments, report writing, and the creation of documents and support drawings. Ms. Simpson has a wide range of experience, having worked in industry for over ten years, having obtained her Bachelor of Architectural Studies in 2006 from Carleton University.
Garret Johnson, B.Eng.
Garret Johnson is a mechanical engineer have started with CMEL in 2019 as part of his Coop experience. He is graduate from Dalhousie University and has specialized in building assessments, capital planning and independent monitoring services.
